Things may not be perfect, but for Neimar (Diego Lara Lagunes), life is good. When Mum cooks bland beans and has no money for new clothes, or when she is busy healing sinners, he can always count on Grandma for advice or a joke. He has friends, is an avid participant at the local racetrack and is a top student at his First Communion classes.

Now Neimar finally wants to feel God’s presence – if he can only figure out how. A hustling young boy, Neimar is searching for happiness at odds with the complexities of real life.
